FESTIVE BUZZ OF KAZIUKAS FAIR

Throughout the Fairgrounds

Throughout the weekend, a large group of street performers will create a festive atmosphere in the streets of the Old Town. In the main squares and parks of the Old Town, visitors to the fair will be invited to sing and dance along with the Vilnius University folk ensemble Ratilio, the folk band Bičiuliai, the folk ensemble Vydraga, the post-folk group Robaksai, the Obelių Association Raminta folk dance group Patrepsiukai the Rokiškis District Cultural Center's Obeliai branch band Malūnas, the modern folk group Liberte, the band Gužutis, the Vilnius senior folk dance group Ainiai, the folk ensemble Varangė, the folk ensemble Srauna, the Jurbarkas Cultural Center band Santaka, the VDU folk ensemble Linago, Vilnius Cultural Center folk ensemble Jorė, Naujoji Vilnia Cultural Center senior folk dance group Lendrūnas, Vilnius Cultural Center senior folk dance group Šoktinis, traditional music group Smetonos ūsai.

THEATRICAL ST. CASIMIR'S PARADE

from Independence Square towards Cathedral Square

Every year Kaziukas Fair is ceremoniously opened by St. Casimir, who parades down Gediminas Avenue towards the Cathedral. Accompanied by artisans, folklore ensembles, town criers, and a colorful array of historical characters. The procession brings history and tradition to life.

Contemporary songs in the folk style are performed by the Vilnius University folk ensemble Ratilio

while folk music with a modern sound is performed by the folk and electronic music project Electro Folk LT.

ST. CASIMIR'S INDULGENCES PROGRAM

The Cathedral Basilica of Vilnius

Closing Mass with the intentions requested by the participants of the Kaziukas Fair. After Mass, a solemn procession around Vilnius Cathedral Basilica. The procession will be led by the Archbishop of Vilnius, the Bishop of Vilnius, the Dean of Vilnius Cathedral Basilica, and the Dean of Vilnius Cathedral Basilica.
